INTRODUCTION

Constitute the administrative process a key element in economic and social development programs for all communities, so this program aims to increase the capacity building and management skills required for business organization, industrial and service, governmental or non-governmental - and employ its resources optimally, this by providing students with the different administrative knowledge that appointed directly by businesses needed a high administrative capabilities.

This program it was designed to consistent with similar programs in major universities in Sudan and other universities in the field of business management, the college did not overlook overall importance to have a program of its own characteristics represented by the introducing the modern technologies in this area to take advantage of technology to this era, and have not lost them to mean quality and high-level.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  1. To provide knowledge and give students the academic skills required to be qualified with work in the administrative areas, both the public and private sectors.
  2. Training students using application programs in various fields of the administration using modern teaching aids and by focusing on the use of the computer and its applications.
  3. Developing the capacity building of students to applied research, and prepare them to pursue post graduate studies in business administration.

STUDY SYSTEM

This program is based on credit hours system; giving courses equal weights (three credit hours for each course) and evaluate the result of the student in each semester.

THE STUDY PERIOD

The program including EIGHT semesters and the duration of each semester is FIFTEEN weeks.

COMPONENTS OF THE PROGRAM

This approach includes the key elements in business administration, also includes a part of the other administrative sciences such as accounting, marketing, economics, information systems, statistics, computer in addition to the required general courses.

 

BACHELOR OF COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS

INTRODUCTION

The information revolution, which dominated the world and what was accompanied by tremendous developments in the field of software and communications have been imposed on everyone (individuals, companies, institutions and governments) to have a university qualified cadres in the field of technology and computer information systems. In the history of science and technology has not written to accomplish single-handedly to happen influential size and speed brought about by information systems industry since become one of the factors of change most briefing functions of life, such as telecommunications, trade, manufacturing, scientific research and services, entertainment, media, culture and even national defense and safety cosmic.

The keep up with Sudan to global developments, especially the areas of technology and information systems and handled efficiently and flexibility of being able to meet the challenges of labor market in both public and private sectors in the current stage and future of the development process in Sudan. For this, the proposed Bachelor of Science in computer information systems focused on the importance of building and preparing qualified people able to absorb and develop information systems that enable it to achieve economic development and owning power its comprehensive concept and the development of science and technology uses.

 

OBJECTIVES

  1. Development of student abilities and skills in the field of computer uses.
  2. Prepare students to imagine and determined, designed and built and implemented and uses of information systems in the management of businesses and organizations.
  3. Enable the student to prepare software and systems management.
  4. High understanding of systems in general, so that not only understand the theoretical principles, but also includes the impact of these theories to practice.
  5. Owning solid pillars that allow graduates to develop his skills with the rapid development of the field information systems.
  6. Acquisition applying the concepts of the interaction between human and computer.

 

COURSES

To reach the objectives of the program must be obtained student on a good background in computers, programming, networking and also good background in management and business administration its components so it will includes primary semesters in the foundations of Computer, Internet, database systems and networks in addition to the requirements of the college, final semesters focusing to achieve the above objectives.

STUDY SYSTEM

The period of study is divided into semesters along each of fifteen weeks, Duration: Four years spread over eight semesters.

CALENDAR SYSTEM

The materials consist of two parts, namely the work of the semester and the final exam. Work of semester consists of practical exercises and small projects. At the end of the semester student take exam per credit hour.

ACADEMIC SYSTEM

Be extended year of the study in a way any two semesters carrying out together and general academic Regulation apply for college.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Secondary school certificate or its equivalent successfully, by the admission requirements approved by the National Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research, and any other special conditions determined by the college.

DIPLOMA OF ACCOUNTING & COMMERCIAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS.

Objectives of Program

The diploma of accounting & commercial information systems program aims to qualify the students to work in management information systems and accounting within different enterprises using computer technology and software.

Features of the Program:

  • 12 to 16 credit hours for Humanities ranging from 12% to 17%.
  • 15 to 20 credit hours for basic sciences ranging from 15% to 21%.
  • 20 to 24 credit hours for Supporting Sciences ranging from 20% to 26%.
  • 40 to 44 credit hours for Applied Sciences ranging from 42% to 46%.
  • Total credit hours of 95 to 96
  • Total contact hours of 2350 to 2385 hours for the Maintenance & Networks Programs.
  • Total contact hours of 1860 to 1920 hours for the Programs: Information Systems.

 

About the Credit Hours:

Credit hours equal 1 lecture hour, 2 exercise hours, 3 practical hours, or 5 work-shop hours every week throughout the semester.

Duration of the Program:

Diploma of accounting & commercial information Systems program including SIX SEMESTERS and every semester involves FIFTEEN weeks excluding the examination period.

Educational Calendar:

  • The time allotted for the exam is 1 hour for each credit hour.
  • Students should repeat the course if their average is less than 50% for that course.
  • Laboratory tutorials represent 60% of the total score for courses involving lab tutorials.
  • Students failing any exam shall repeat the course of that subject and shall not proceed to the next semester unless he/she passes the exam.

Field training:

All students are required to join the field training of 5 weeks after the end of the second semester.
